Sorting colors before washing is crucial, especially for works containing both light and dark fabrics—this prevents color bleeding. The patchwork fabric set should be washed on a gentle cycle, in cool or lukewarm water, which helps preserve the fabric's structure and color saturation. Use mild detergents intended for colored fabrics to maintain their original appearance. Drying flat prevents deformation and helps retain the original dimensions of your patchwork.
